Nicely Noted Review

Don't you love receiving REAL mail? Not bills or stupid credit card applications, but real mail from a human being whom you know? I miss the days of passing notes, having pen pals, and hand written letters. If you get where I'm coming from you may love this Subscription Box called, Nicely Noted.

Except it doesn't come in a box! Just a cute little envelope. =)
"Nicely Noted is a stationery subscription service that delivers a curated collection of letterpress cards and stamps to your mailbox every month."
A Little Background on the Founder of Nicely Noted, Perry Nelson.

"Growing up, I was an avid pen pal and collected a plethora of stationery to fuel my letter writing habit. But as an adult, my stationery bin wasn’t nearly as stocked, and I always found myself trying to squeeze in a desperate trip to the gift store for every birthday party or baby shower. I thought sending a few handpicked, letterpressed cards each month, complete with the stamps to send them, might be just they way to get folks practicing the wonderful art of letter writing again.
Nicely Noted helps people discover new designers and enjoy the convenience of having the perfect card on hand. You get to look forward to receiving a care package each month, and pass that joy along to the recipients of all of your letters!
I first discovered this subscription service on Pinterest (I know, surprise surprise). I really wanted to give it a try! I subscribed to their month-to-month option.
Month-to-Month - $20
Annually- $220 (which gives you 1 month free)

So I received my 1st Nicely Noted subscription in the mail yesterday!

Each month they will send you 3 letterpressed cards and 3 cute stamps. All of them were blank inside to encourage your letter writing like Perry talked about.

And cute little stamps! So convenient.

Since I enjoy graphic design, I loved knowing where the cards came from and the companies Nicely Noted worked along side to deliver my May subscription. It was neat to see that one of my cards was from nearby, in Pasadena, and 2 others from Brooklyn, NY and Jackson, MS.

I also enjoyed the cute little "quote to quote" they sent me. It reminded me of my relationship with a few people. =)

I really love sending cards to people, especially those far away. I'm always spending time in Papyrus and Paper Source on the search for pretty cards, paper, and stationary. So this subscription was right up my alley.
I highly recommend this to people who love sending random notes, cards, and letters.
It also makes a great gift! Nicely Noted has a gift option for you to purchase 2 months for $40, and up to a 12 month subscription to send to someone.

Save the Date: Bookmarks!

My lovely high school friend, Kaitlyn is getting married this year and she wanted a unique kind of Save the Date: BOOKMARKS!

I had never heard of having a bookmark as your Save the Date, but I thought it was a genius idea! One you can actually keep and find useful! I was so excited to start designing them with the new fonts and design elements I had been purchasing recently.
(Links of where to download for free and fonts for purchase below).

I created 3 designs and she fell in love with 2 of them.  I incorporated 1 design with a calendar, which she loved. Then she asked to create 2 versions of the third design incorporating her wedding colors: Sangria and Raspberry hues. Therefore, she would have 3 different Bookmarks to choose from and send out to their guests.

I am absolutely loving the watercolor look that is trending everywhere right now. (Kaitlyn said it was very "Taylor Swift" I agreed).  I purchased "actions" created for Photoshop that give fonts a painted watercolor effect. I just add on a few paint splatter layers to pull it all together.

Getting married soon? I'd LOVE to design your Save The Dates and/or Wedding Invitations. Check out my Etsy site for previous work examples.
